there’s something about seeing your own brand on a shelf in your hometown.
you remember when it was a name, a packaging design, and approximately a thousand decisions nobody else could make for you. then suddenly, it exists outside your laptop.
for sam after hours, greenville has been part of that story from the beginning.
a different chapter, same hometown
i’m sam moss, the founder of sam after hours. before this chapter, i spent two decades building an events business here in the upstate. that is a lot of couples and families!
creating a brand meant learning a different business—from packaging and inventory to building a retail website and introducing something new to people who had never heard of it.
greenville was where those introductions started.
the local milestones that mattered
winexpress five forks and bottles greenville became early retail milestones for sam after hours.
seeing the original collection in those spaces made this little business feel real in a different way. it was no longer just something i was working on at home. it was something people could recognize out in the community.
this saturday (10/31/26)- you can buy 2 and get 1 FREE at both locations from 12 to 3!
more than a launch day
sam after hours launched on april 20, 2026. but a launch date is only one day in a much longer story.
the rest is answering emails, keeping track of inventory, learning from feedback, and figuring out what needs your attention next.
some milestones are easy to photograph. others look like finally solving a website problem or getting through the task you’ve been putting off.
both count.
a thank-you to our hometown
to the local businesses that have been part of this first chapter, and the people who have offered encouragement, shared a post, or asked how things are going: thank you.
building something new comes with plenty of uncertainty. having familiar faces take an interest makes a difference.
sam after hours has greenville roots. and whatever the next chapter looks like, this will always be where the story began. 🖤
